There are animals that come along once in a lifetime. We have been blessed to have more than our share of those animals. This is just our place to honor the “lifetime” animals that have allowed us to share time with them. We are blessed and honored to have had the opportunity.
SBS Crown Prince Friedel 07/01/2002- 02/03/2019
Friedel was the Grand Gentleman of the farm. He was a calm, steady boy with some of the greatest facial expressions ever. We were thrilled when he came to live on our farm, and devastated when we lost him. He was the total package- looks, conformation, personality, amazing fiber, and the ability to pass his outstanding qualities on to his offspring. To say he was a cornerstone of our herd doesn’t quite describe what this boy meant to us. He was a joy to have on the farm, and sired multiple outstanding offspring. We are lucky enough to have offspring from Friedel to carry on his legacy . We are still amazed we got to spend time with this boy, and are honored to have been his shepherds.

Two Crows Farm Kid Charlemagne 01/26/2013 – 05/16/2020
Our gentle giant. Charlemonkey, Charlemoose, Big Dude, Moose, Kid- those are just a few of the nicknames we had for this fantastic boy. He was one of the “founding members” of our herd, and the first alpaca we ever had the pleasure of taking into the show ring.
He was the undisputed leader of our male herd and he ruled with a velvet glove covering an iron fist. He never hesitated to remind his pasture mates about the manners he required in his presence. His mustache was legendary, with eyelashes to die for, all on the body of a fiber producing machine. He was quiet calmness in the pastures, dynamic in a show ring, and a favorite of alpaca ladies. He taught us how to be the shepherds we’ve become. With his guidance, we learned what we were capable of, and that sometimes strength isn’t shown through brute force, but with steady guidance.
We are truly thankful he allowed us to share his life with him. We will never stop looking for him in our barns and pastures. His legacy lives on in his son, Rebellion (Rebel), and an eagerly awaited 2020 cria.
